In Saturday's completed semi, Hantuchova overcame fourth-seeded fellow Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 at Sierra Madre Country Club. Hantuchova and Pavlyuchenkova will meet for a third time, as the two women have split their first two meetings. The promising Russian beat the Slovak in Dubai just two weeks ago. This will be the 24th-ranked Hantuchova's first title match since 2007, a year in which she went 2-2 in finals. The 26-year-old Slovak is 3-6 lifetime in her championship bouts. The titlist here will take home $37,000.
